How do I make a reservation at Southern Oaks RV Res?
You can reserve your site by calling us directly or Through our online reservation system.
We recommend booking in advance, especially for winter season stays from November through April — we fill up fast and for good reason.
How much does it cost to stay at Southern Oaks RV Resort?
Rates vary depending on the time of year and length of stay. We offer daily, weekly, and monthly rates. Monthly rates offer the best value for snowbirds and extended winter stays. Visit our Rates Page for More info or {contact us}
Is Southern Oaks RV Resorts an adults-only or 55+ community?
While Southern Oaks is primarily a 55+ community, meaning at least one resident or registered guest per site must be 55 or older.
Families and Younger guests, including children, are welcome to visit and stay for up to two weeks at a time. We love when the grandkids come to visit — and with Orlando right around the corner, they’ll have plenty to keep them busy.
Do you require a deposit to hold a reservation?
Yes, a deposit is required to confirm your reservation. We’ll walk you through the details when you book.
What is your cancellation policy?
Please contact us directly for our current cancellation policy. We understand that travel plans change and will do our best to work with you.
Do you offer discounts for extended stays or seasonal residents?
Yes. Monthly rates are significantly more economical than nightly or weekly rates. If you’re planning a long winter stay, ask us about our seasonal options when you call.
What hookups are available at Southern Oaks RV Resort?
Our RV sites include full hookups — water, sewer, and electric service. We offer both 30-amp and 50-amp electric connections to accommodate a wide range of RVs.
Do you have pull-through sites?
Southern Oaks offers mostly Pull-through sites with some Back-in in our expansion area.

What are your check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is 12pm Eastern
Check-out is 11AM. We’ll confirm exact times when you make your reservation.
Are pets allowed at Southern Oaks RV Resort?
We Love Pets! Well-behaved pets are welcome. Dogs must be kept on a leash no longer than 6 feet at all times when outside your unit, and they may not be left unattended outdoors. Pet owners are responsible for cleaning up after their animals. Certain dog breeds may be restricted — please ask when booking.
Is there a pet fee?
Please ask about our current pet policy and any applicable fees when you make your reservation.
Can my grandchildren stay with me for an extended visit?
Absolutely. Children are welcome to stay with you for up to two weeks.
Are guests allowed to visit residents?
Yes. Guests are welcome to visit. All visitors must check in at the office, and we ask that visitor vehicles be off the property during quiet hours.
Do you allow open fires or fire pits?
Open fires are subject to local fire ordinances and park rules. Contact us for the current policy — Florida’s fire conditions change seasonally.

Is Southern Oaks RV Resort a good base for exploring Central Florida?
It’s one of the best. You’re centrally located between Ocala and Orlando, close to the Gulf Coast beaches, and sitting next to The Villages. You have easy access to everything without paying big-city prices or dealing with big-city traffic.
What is the weather like in Summerfield, Florida in the winter?
Winter in Summerfield is mild and pleasant — daytime highs typically range from the upper 60s to mid-70s Fahrenheit, with cooler nights. It’s one of the main reasons snowbirds from the Midwest and Northeast return year after year. You’ll want a light jacket for evenings, but you’ll leave the heavy coat at home.
How far is Southern Oaks from major Florida attractions?
We’re conveniently located near everything Central Florida has to offer. Ocala National Forest is just minutes away. Walt Disney World is about 60 miles south. Tampa is roughly 90 minutes to the South/West. Silver Springs State Park is less than 30 minutes from your RV
